Telomere Length Measurement for Mouse Liver Tissues

The telomere length test measures the size of telomeres, which are protective caps at the end of chromosomes in cells. Telomeres shorten over time, making telomere length a marker of biological aging. This test can assess the health of mouse liver tissue and the effects of age-related diseases and treatments. CD BioSciences offers telomere length measurements for mouse liver tissues. This service helps clients understand the cellular health and aging state, as well as the effects of different treatments and interventions on cells.

Telomere Length Measurement for Mouse Liver Tissues

Telomere Length Variation in Mouse Liver Tissues

The liver, a multifunctional organ renowned for its metabolic, detoxification, and homeostatic functions, serves as a prominent site for investigating the impact of telomere dynamics on overall health and disease susceptibility in mice. In a study of the effects of aging on telomeres in different tissues of mice, telomere length was found to shorten in the liver up to 25 months of age.

Sample Requirements

At CD BioSciences, we emphasize the following sample requirements to ensure the integrity and viability of mouse liver tissue samples for telomere length testing. For mouse liver tissue samples to be suitable for telomere length testing, they should be freshly collected, snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen, and kept at -80°C until further processing.

  • Mouse liver tissues should be free of contamination.
  • The sample size should be between 50-100 mg.
  • Further processing should be done within 24 hours of collection.

Our Services of Mouse Liver Tissue Telomere Length Measurements

Our comprehensive suite of services encompasses advanced telomere length measurement techniques tailored to mouse liver tissue samples. These techniques include the terminal restriction fragment (TRF) analysis, quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR), and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). We also specialize in assessing various aspects of telomere length data, including the measurement of average telomere length, single-cell telomere length, and telomere distribution.

Beyond generating raw telomere length measurements, we excel in delivering comprehensive data analysis and interpretation services. Through advanced bioinformatics tools and algorithms, we transform raw data into actionable insights, uncovering the intricate associations between telomere dynamics and aging-related phenomena in mouse liver tissue.

It is worth noting that not only did we use predominantly hepatocellular liver tissue for many of our studies on aging livers. We also offer telomere testing services for three other hepatocyte types, including:

  • Hepatocytes
  • Liver endothelial sinusoidal cells
  • Hepatic stellate cells

CD BioSciences specializes in evaluating telomere length in a variety of samples, and telomere length analysis is designed for use by researchers. Our results are easy to understand and focus more on the aging effects of telomeres.
