Skin Aging Model Customization Services

Skin aging is a multifaceted process involving intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic aging, driven by genetic and chronological factors, manifests as changes in collagen and elastin structure, diminished cell proliferation, and impaired wound healing. Extrinsic aging, primarily influenced by environmental stressors like UV radiation and pollution, accelerates these changes, leading to wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and impaired skin barrier function.

Skin aging models are essential for mimicking the physiological changes in human skin over time. These models allow researchers to study cellular behaviors, assess potential anti-aging therapeutics, and evaluate the efficacy of various anti-aging therapeutics. CD BioSciences helps clients develop customized models that reflect the skin aging process, ensuring the generation of reliable data to support aging research.

Custom In Vitro Models of Skin Aging

CD BioSciences offers custom in vitro models that reflect the cellular and molecular hallmarks of skin aging. Our in vitro models provide advantages, including cost-effectiveness and ease of manipulation for clients.

Human fibroblast aging models

CD BioSciences assists clients in developing customized human dermal fibroblast (HDF) models using a variety of approaches, including stress-induced premature senescence (SIPS) and specific aging-associated genetic modifications. These models enable comprehensive evaluation of the effects of potential anti-aging therapeutics on fibroblast function, collagen synthesis, and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling.

Keratinocyte aging models

Keratinocytes are vital for maintaining skin barrier function and preventing water loss. We offer custom keratinocyte models, using techniques like chronological aging (long-term culture), induced senescence, and exposure to oxidative stress. Our models are tailored to incorporate specific genotypes relevant to the client's research goals. We also assist clients in assessing the impact of anti-aging therapeutics on keratinocyte function, barrier integrity, and responses to environmental stressors.

Bioengineered 3D skin aging models

Two-dimensional (2D) models often fail to fully recapitulate the complexity of the skin. CD BioSciences overcomes this limitation by generating sophisticated three-dimensional (3D) skin models using bioengineering techniques. Our 3D models incorporate multiple cell types, such as keratinocytes and fibroblasts, mimicking the skin architecture and cellular interactions. We assist our clients in selecting suitable scaffold materials and constructing skin aging models comprising both epidermal and dermal layers using advanced in vitro tissue engineering techniques, including 3D co-culture systems, air–liquid interface (ALI) culture, and biomimetic scaffold-based reconstruction.

Custom In Vivo Mouse Models of Skin Aging

In vivo models offer the unique advantage of studying aging within a complex living organism. CD BioSciences offers custom in vivo mouse models that reflect different aspects of skin aging.

Mouse model of skin aging induced by D-galactose

Our company provides customized mouse models of skin aging induced by D-galactose, supporting clients in optimizing dosage and treatment duration based on their specific research requirements. Our models allow clients to investigate the effects of anti-aging therapeutics on advanced glycation end product (AGE) accumulation, oxidative stress, and age-related skin changes.

Mouse models of skin photoaging using UV irradiation

CD BioSciences helps clients generate custom photoaging models by exposing mice to controlled UV radiation. The intensity and duration of UV exposure are carefully regulated, producing simulations of wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and other hallmarks of photoaging. Our services enable the evaluation of UV protection and anti-photoaging strategies.

At CD BioSciences, we are dedicated to developing customized skin aging models to meet our clients' research needs, accelerating discoveries in the field of skin aging. If you are interested in our services, please feel free to contact us or make an online inquiry.
