Organ Aging Analysis Services

Each organ undergoes distinct aging processes influenced by its physiological roles, regenerative capacities, and exposure to metabolic, mechanical, and environmental stressors. Skin and adipose tissue primarily undergo extracellular matrix degradation and lipid redistribution. In contrast, internal organs such as the heart, liver, kidney, and brain exhibit varying degrees of cellular senescence, fibrosis, vascular dysfunction, and functional decline.

The organs of the human body are altered in various ways by aging.Fig. 1 Aging in the human body organs will result in different degrees of pathological changes, thus causing a variety of diseases. (Liu Y, et al., 2024)

CD BioSciences provides a full suite of services that enable the modeling and characterization of organ-specific aging processes. Our platform integrates customized animal and cellular models, advanced histological and molecular profiling, and functional assessments of each organ system. This integrated approach enables high-resolution analysis of aging biology for preclinical research and the development of anti-aging therapeutics.

Organ-Specific Aging Model Customization Services

CD BioSciences develops a wide range of aging models across different species. Each model is validated for phenotypic fidelity and designed to support the screening of anti-aging drugs and the discovery of biomarkers.

Aging models Service details
Skin aging models For skin aging, our company provides custom in vitro and in vivo models of skin aging by using UV radiation, oxidative stress induction, and long-term culture of aged skin equivalents.
Cardiac aging models Our experts help clients customize cardiac aging models in rodents and non-human primates that feature age-related left ventricular hypertrophy, myocardial fibrosis, and reduced diastolic compliance.
Liver aging models Liver aging models are developed by using primary human hepatocytes or hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) and animal models in rodents.
Aging lung models We offer custom models of aged lung epithelium, pulmonary fibrosis models using NOD/SCID mice, and senescence-accelerated mouse (SAM) models.
Aging kidney models Our company provides models of kidney aging characterized by glomerulosclerosis, reduced nephron number, tubular atrophy, and impaired filtration.
Muscle aging models We support the development of models of muscle aging, including rodent and zebrafish models for skeletal muscle senescence, which exhibit reduced muscle mass, fiber atrophy, and satellite cell senescence.

Characterization of Organ Aging

CD BioSciences offers comprehensive methodologies to characterize morphological, cellular, and molecular features of organ aging, enabling in-depth evaluation of tissue decline and anti-aging drug efficacy.

Organ aging Service details
Skin aging Our company supports clients in analyzing skin aging through histological analysis of dermal architecture, collagen and elastin integrity, and epidermal thickness.
Cardiac aging For characterization of cardiac aging, we assess myocardial structure, function, and molecular remodeling.
Brain aging Our brain aging assessments include anatomical imaging, cognitive behavioral tests, and molecular profiling of neuroinflammation, synaptic integrity, and glial senescence.
Kidney aging We help clients investigate kidney aging through renal function analysis, histological evaluation of glomerular and tubular damage, and analysis of profibrotic and pro-senescent signaling pathways.
Gastrointestinal aging For characterization of gastrointestinal aging, we measure intestinal permeability, analyze tight junction protein expression, and conduct microbiome sequencing and metabolite profiling.
Aging adipose senescence In adipose tissue aging, we examine changes in fat distribution, adipocyte hypertrophy, and inflammatory infiltration.
Bone aging We evaluate bone aging using micro-CT for 3D structural assessment, histomorphometry for bone turnover, and mechanical testing for strength and elasticity.

CD BioSciences empowers aging research through organ-specific expertise, validated models, and advanced analytic platforms. If you are interested in our services, please feel free to contact us or make an online inquiry.
