Turmeric Supplement R&D Services

Delaying aging, rather than treating aging-related diseases, may represent a more effective approach to improving healthspan and lifespan. Researchers are exploring various natural compounds that may have anti-aging properties. Turmeric, a vibrant yellow spice derived from the Curcuma longa plant, has garnered significant attention for its potential health benefits, particularly in anti-aging and longevity. The active compound in turmeric, curcumin, is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Curcumin has various roles in preventing aging and diseases related to it, among which are its effects on oxidative stress, inflammation, telomere length, signaling pathways, and proteins such as sirtuin.Fig. 1 Curcumin has various roles in preventing aging and aging-related diseases. At CD BioSciences, we provide R&D services for turmeric supplements, supporting the evaluation of their potential anti-aging effects using in vitro and in vivo aging models.

Overview of Our Turmeric Supplement R&D Services

Curcumin extraction services

We extract curcumin from turmeric using advanced methods and purify it with techniques such as liquid chromatography to obtain high-quality material for anti-aging efficacy evaluation and formulation development.

Formulation development services

Our R&D team specializes in developing customized turmeric supplement formulations with high-purity curcumin, including various delivery systems such as capsules, powders, and liquid extracts. We optimize formulations to enhance bioavailability, an essential factor for the anti-aging effects of turmeric supplements. Our team evaluates the stability of turmeric supplement formulations under a range of environmental conditions, generating data to inform reliable anti-aging efficacy assessments and formulation optimization.

Evaluation of the Anti-Aging Effects of Turmeric Supplements

At CD BioSciences, we provide comprehensive services to evaluate the anti-aging potential of turmeric supplements. Using in vitro and in vivo aging models, we assess key functional responses associated with healthy aging, including cellular metabolism and energy balance by measuring ATP production, mitochondrial function, and overall metabolic activity; autophagy and cellular turnover by monitoring autophagic flux, lysosomal activity, and cell viability; inflammation and oxidative stress by quantifying cytokine levels, reactive oxygen species, and antioxidant enzyme activities; and tissue or organ-level indicators, such as fibroblast activity and tissue integrity. In addition, we measure aging-related signaling pathway markers, including the mammalian target of the rapamycin (mTOR), the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), and SIRT1, to provide support for the observed functional effects. These markers serve as indicators that complement the functional assays, helping clients interpret results and guide supplement development.

CD BioSciences is dedicated to turmeric supplement R&D services, combining innovative extraction techniques, advanced formulation strategies, and comprehensive evaluation of anti-aging efficacy to support the development of effective and reliable supplement formulations.
