Anti-Aging Drug Discovery Targeting CREB

cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB) is a vital transcription factor that regulates gene expression in response to various extracellular signals. Its activity is integral to maintaining cellular homeostasis and is implicated in aging. CREB has been shown to influence cellular senescence by regulating gene expression in cell cycle control, DNA repair, and apoptosis. CREB is involved in metabolic regulation, neuronal plasticity, and immune function, making it a significant factor in the onset and progression of age-related diseases such as diabetes, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular disease.

Binding of growth factors to receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK) stimulates the activation of PI3K/Akt/GSK3β, Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK/p90/RSK and ERK/MSK1 signaling pathways, which subsequently enhance the phosphorylation of CREB at different sites.Fig. 1 Signaling cascade of CREB. (Wang H, et al., 2018)

CD BioSciences is committed to assisting clients in developing anti-aging drugs targeting the CREB signaling pathway, informed by our comprehensive understanding of this protein in aging. We offer customized research projects designed to align with our clients' specific needs and objectives, ensuring that each project is handled with attention to detail and scientific rigor.

How Do We Develop Anti-Aging Drugs Targeting CREB?

Target identification and validation

CD BioSciences utilizes advanced genomic and proteomic techniques to identify potential targets within the CREB signaling pathway. Our team conducts comprehensive bioinformatics analyses to validate these targets, assessing whether they play a significant role in aging processes. Through a series of in vitro and in vivo studies, CD BioSciences helps clients ensure that drug discovery efforts are based on solid scientific evidence.

Drug screening and optimization

We offer drug discovery services utilizing high-throughput screening of compound libraries to identify potential CREB activators. We assess the efficacy and specificity of these compounds using cell-based assays and in vitro models. Our optimization services help clients enhance the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of lead candidates.

Preclinical testing

We help clients conduct rigorous preclinical testing to evaluate the safety and efficacy of drug candidates. Our services include in vivo studies in relevant animal models to assess the pharmacological effects of drugs targeting CREB on age-related cognitive decline.

Targeting CREB in Age-Related Cognitive Decline

Age-related cognitive decline is a major concern for the elderly population. The role of the CREB signaling pathway in synaptic plasticity and memory formation makes it an attractive target for the development of cognition-enhancing therapeutics.

  • Neuroprotective effects. We help clients investigate the neuroprotective effects of anti-aging drugs targeting the CREB pathway to prevent or reverse the neuronal damage associated with aging.
  • Cognitive function enhancement. By targeting the CREB signaling pathway, we aim to assist clients in developing drugs that can improve learning and memory, thereby addressing the cognitive deficits observed in aging populations.

At CD BioSciences, we assist clients in developing anti-aging drugs targeting CREB as an anti-aging strategic approach. Our comprehensive services, from target identification to preclinical testing, are designed to accelerate the discovery of novel drugs that can combat the effects of aging and age-related diseases. If you are interested in our services, please feel free to contact us or make an online inquiry.
