In Vivo Pharmacokinetic Services for Anti-Aging Drug Development

The quest for longevity and enhanced quality of life has driven significant advancements in anti-aging drug development. Understanding how these drugs behave in the body is crucial for their efficacy and safety. In vivo pharmacokinetics (PK) involves studying how a drug is processed within a living organism, tracking its journey from administration to eventual excretion. These studies are essential in drug development, providing insights into absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME).

Our In Vivo Pharmacokinetic Services for Anti-Aging Drug Development

CD BioSciences specializes in vivo pharmacokinetic services to support the development of anti-aging drugs.

In vivo bioavailability and bioequivalence studies

Bioavailability refers to the proportion of an administered drug that enters systemic circulation, while bioequivalence assesses whether different formulations of the same drug result in equivalent blood concentrations. Our bioavailability and bioequivalence studies focus on key pharmacokinetic parameters, including area under the curve (AUC), peak plasma concentration (Cmax), and time to Cmax (Tmax).

We offer bioavailability studies to assess how the body absorbs and utilizes anti-aging drugs. The two most common administration methods we use are intravenous injection and oral administration. Our services are critical for testing anti-aging drug dosages for optimal efficacy.

We also assist clients in conducting bioequivalence studies to compare the pharmacokinetic profiles of different formulations. Our services include the design and execution of studies such as single-dose, two-treatment, crossover trials, and in vivo experiments with pharmacokinetic endpoints.

Tissue distribution studies

We offer tissue distribution studies to reveal how anti-aging drugs interact with target organs and potential sites of action, such as the brain, liver, and skin. Our experts utilize advanced imaging techniques and quantitative analysis to map the biodistribution of anti-aging drugs. We also use tissue dissection to quantify the distribution of radiolabeled drugs in specific organs at consecutive time points. Our services are invaluable in predicting drug efficacy and minimizing adverse effects, guiding the development process toward safer and more effective anti-aging drugs.

In vivo excretion studies

CD BioSciences conducts comprehensive in vivo excretion studies to help clients assess the rate and route of excretion. We offer mass balance studies to determine the total recovery of an anti-aging drug and its metabolites after administration, measuring the amount of drug excreted in the urine, feces, and bile. CD BioSciences utilizes experimental models to assess biliary excretion and enterohepatic circulation, providing our clients with critical data to optimize drug formulations.

In vivo blood-brain-barrier (BBB) assay

CD BioSciences offers specialized assays to evaluate BBB permeability. Assessing the ability of anti-aging drugs to cross the BBB is crucial for their effectiveness in treating age-related cognitive decline. We help clients quantify the concentrations of the anti-aging drug in collected blood, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and brain tissue samples utilizing liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC-MS). We also assist in calculating the brain-to-plasma concentration ratio to determine the extent of BBB permeability.

Features of Our In Vivo Pharmacokinetic Services

  • CD BioSciences provides a range of administration routes for in vivo studies, including intravenous, oral administration, intraperitoneal, intramuscular, subcutaneous injection, and intraventricular administration. Each route is selected based on the specific characteristics of the anti-aging drugs.
  • We help clients collect samples, including plasma, serum, brain, cerebrospinal fluid, bile, urine, and feces. We use advanced techniques to analyze these samples to ensure reliable and reproducible results.

CD BioSciences offers a comprehensive suite of in vivo pharmacokinetic services to support the successful development of innovative anti-aging drugs. We equip our clients with the necessary data to make informed decisions throughout drug development. If you are interested in our services, please feel free to contact us or make an online inquiry.
