Aging Proteome Analysis

Inquiry

Proteins and metabolites are the end products responsible for setting the phenotype of aging, proteins can influence physiological functions as well as provide clues to the mechanisms of aging, therefore we should provide more information resources on proteomics for the study of aging and age-related diseases.

Proteomics platforms are capable of assessing various proteins from a wide range of biological samples. Proteomics studies allow the identification of protein classes in different tissues and the characterization of changes in protein expression to provide insight into aging mechanisms and to be used as biomarkers to monitor the aging process of the body. This new source of aging information also offers the possibility of lifespan extension and development of disease therapies.

To address proteomic research in aging, CD BioSciences provides quantitative analysis of aging proteins to give researchers direct information about the biological pathways of aging.

Aging Proteome Quantification Analysis

We use LC-MS/MS technology to provide of proteome analysis of numerous biological samples to obtain a comprehensive proteomic data set. Clients can use such a valuable information resource to understand and elucidate the molecular pathways of aging and related diseases.

The generic operational flow of our analytical method is shown in the figure below and can be used for large-scale quantitative proteomics.

Flow chart of quantitative analysis of aging proteome - CD BioSciences

  • Sample processing. Mainly includes sample homogenization and protein digestion processing.
  • MS analysis. The treated samples are separated in a graded manner, eluted on the sample, and scanned for quantification.
  • Data analysis. We provide pre-processing of raw sequencing data, mass spectrometry searches in the proteomic database, functional annotation, enrichment analysis and clustering analysis of age-related proteins, etc.

Our Unique Advantages

We provide research services based on transcriptome analysis of aging.

In-depth coverage of sample proteome

The depth of our protein sequencing can be evaluated through technical validation and data comparison, and over 90% of the proteins can be identified with high confidence of identification, covering most of the proteome in depth.

Proteome wide quantification

The main advantage of our technology is the ability to quantify multiple proteins in a sample simultaneously, multiplexing in LC-MS/MS analysis, and the ability to quantify proteins across a batch to reduce batch-to-batch variation.

Applications of Aging Proteome Quantification

We provide comprehensive proteomic data that can be used as a valuable resource for a variety of aging research efforts, including but not limited to,

  • It can provide a reference for determining whether the target protein is expressed and the expression level.
  • It can provide protein co-expression network analysis that correlates protein modules with aging or related diseases to elucidate their link to diagnosis.
